See how each candidate handles a real work situation — before you spend interview time on them.

hire.center is a work simulation for screening, before the interview. For customer support, customer success and sales hiring.

How it works

  1. Pick the job and your minimum. We suggest the skills the job needs; you keep 2–8 and set the lowest score you accept for each.
  2. Each candidate joins a 15-minute meeting. Two AI-played colleagues react to what they say. The same scene for every candidate of the role.
  3. You read the evidence and decide. A few minutes after they finish, you get the scorecard.

What you get, per candidate

  • How many of your required levels they met, and each skill as meets, below, or not enough evidence.
  • The candidate's own words behind every score, each quote checked against the conversation. The full conversation is one click away.
  • Interview questions for every gap, with what to listen for.
  • A share link or PDF for the hiring manager; candidates side by side (never ranked by score); your own score with a reason where you disagree; export to CSV or JSON.

Example — from our public sample scorecard

A fictional candidate played by AI for a retail shift-lead role; the quote, score and question are the real engine's output.
“Tess: fitting rooms now. Marcus pauses the truck, opens register four by 11:45 through lunch, then endcaps 1:30 to 2:45, Priya stays off them; I float the floor and call IT now.”
Counted for Management of Personnel Resources, Time Management and Adaptability. Suggested interview question: “Walk me through a shift where you were short-staffed and tempted to cover a station yourself. How did you decide who ran the floor, and how did it play out?”

The candidate's side

  • A private link; phone or computer; nothing to install.
  • About 15 minutes per scene: one scene for up to 3 skills, 2–3 scenes for more.
  • A short guide and a practice reply first. They are told it is AI-assisted and give consent before they start.
  • They answer in writing (speaking is an optional beta). English; other languages in beta.
  • Every candidate gets a short feedback note, without scores. If a candidate asks, you can give them a written statement of their results (in Finland they have the right to one).

Price

  • 1 credit per skill, per candidate who finishes. A role with 2–8 skills costs about €5–€20 per candidate. Composure (5 traits) is free.
  • 20 credits — one role: €49 · 60 credits — a few roles: €120 · 200 credits — ongoing hiring: €349. Prices exclude VAT.
  • Credits never expire. No contract, no subscription. 12 free credits and a free self-demo on sign-up.

Data and the EU AI Act

  • A person makes every hiring decision. No hire/no-hire label and no overall score.
  • Hosting and database in Germany. The AI model is Claude by Anthropic (USA); your data is not used to train it. Optional voice uses Deepgram (USA).
  • Candidate records are deleted after 12 months, or sooner when you delete them.
  • Built for the EU AI Act's rules for hiring tools (they apply from 2 December 2027). Not certified. Our data processing agreement is with a lawyer for review; ask us and we will send it as soon as it is ready.
In a test with AI-played candidates in one English customer-service scene, changing only the name (30 names, 5 backgrounds, women and men) kept each group's average score within a quarter of a point. Not yet tested with real candidates. Method: hire.center/fairness#name-test
