# hire.center > hire.center is a work simulation candidates take before the interview (a behavioral simulation assessment). Candidates handle a live work situation with two AI-played colleagues; it measures the skills the job needs plus a five-trait Composure Profile and gives quote-backed evidence for a person's hiring decision. ## Key facts - What it is: a work simulation candidates take before the interview (a behavioral simulation assessment) — not an "AI interviewer". The AI never decides; a person makes every hiring decision. - When it is used: after the application and before the interview, as one input; a person decides. - How it works: the candidate opens a link and handles a live work situation with two AI-played colleagues, about 15 minutes per scene, one to three scenes. Every candidate in an assessment gets the same situation, the same role card and the same two colleagues; the colleagues improvise the details and react to what each candidate says. The recruiter gets a scorecard: for each skill, meets / below / not enough evidence against the recruiter's minimum, shown with its evidence (quotes checked word for word), and a five-trait Composure Profile. - Evidence: behind the scores, each quote is checked against the conversation; for a low score, the scorecard can instead point to the turn where the scene asked and the candidate did not act. "Not enough evidence" is a possible result. - Does not: decide, give an overall score or rank candidates by score; give a hire/no-hire verdict; infer emotions or analyse faces, video or tone of voice; test technical, clinical or trade knowledge (it is not built to); connect to an ATS (yet). - Not yet measured with real candidates: how results relate to later job performance, and whether results differ between groups. - Skills: 14 transferable skills in three groups (working with people, problem solving, managing resources) plus Composure (Stress Tolerance, Self-Control, Adaptability, Cooperation, Empathy). Skills come from public job standards (O*NET); EU job names from ESCO. - Works for: can be set up for any job with public skill ratings (about 900 jobs across industries), for jobs where people, priorities and pressure shape the day (support, sales, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, retail, office work, team leads). Example scenes by industry: https://hire.center/industries. - Price: prepaid credits, 1 credit per skill per candidate who finishes (Composure is free); €49 for 20 credits, €120 for 60 credits, €349 for 200 credits, excl. VAT. New accounts get 12 free credits. Credits do not expire. - Languages: scenarios in 72 languages; non-English is beta and scoring is measured in English only. Every candidate gets a short personal feedback note without scores. - Data: hosting and main database in Germany, sign-in data in Ireland; scenes and scoring by Claude (Anthropic, USA). Candidate data is not used to train AI models. - Regulation: built for the EU AI Act's rules for hiring tools (which apply from 2 December 2027); no compliance certification is claimed. - Operator: NexPath Oy, Helsinki, Finland (Business ID 3559670-5).
